My Haibun in Issue 57 of Failed Haiku

This issue of Failed Haiku features haibun that consist of prose of just 50 words or less before presenting the concluding haiku. I made my haibun even leaner by omitting a title.
Pioneer festivals typically depict long-ago practices such as making cornshuck dolls and firing flintlock muskets. I attended one last year, however, that managed to make this Baby Boomer feel really old.
