Peace, Love, Music and Time Travel

My wife and I finally managed to book a vacation rental on Old Earth from August 26 to August 31 in 1970 so we can attend the Isle of Wight Concert. We’re fans of the Old Earth music known as rock and roll and look forward to hearing live performances from groups such as Chicago, Ten Years After, the Doors and the Who.

We’re especially looking forward to hearing Jimi Hendrix. He was so adept at playing that Old Earth instrument called the electric guitar. As you know, this was his last major performance before returning to his home planet.

Our Wild Vacation

It’s all my fault.

I wanted to save us a little money, so for our vacation rental this year I booked with an obscure agency that advertised really cheap rates. I chose what was described as “well-appointed cottage on the edge of a wildlife refuge.“

I just assumed the “wildlife refuge” was a sanctuary for this planet’s species that are on the brink of extinction and would pose no threat to us. Not so! We’re constant targets for sling-launched rocks and bolas thrown by an endangered, government-protected species of humanoids. Our souvenirs from this vacation will be lacerations and bruises.
