My work in Mirrors
by
John J. Dunphy
I discovered Mirrors in 1991. Founded and edited by Jane Reichhold (1937–2016), Mirrors was subscriber-produced. One took out a subscription and sent in a page of work, which was published in the next issue.
As you can see, I still used the old manual typewriter I had owned since high school. It was an Adler portable made in what was then West Germany. The very last page, however, was created on my ten-fiancee’s Tandy 1000 from Radio Shack.

(I had this letter published in the Summer 1992 issue. It drew a response from Marlene Mountain, which was published in the next issue. Jane so mangled this letter that she felt compelled to republish it).
